& Performance Policy
All patrons must have, and present, a valid ticket to gain entry to a performance.
Tickets booked online may be presented on a mobile device or be printed out at home.
Tickets booked over the phone to be collected from our box office on the day must be paid for at the time of collection. If you book over the phone and do not attend the performance, your name and phone number may be added to a list restricting you from booking without immediate payment.
We are happy to replace any lost tickets if requested more than 24 hours before the performance.
Additional Booking Fees
Online: When booking online you may need to pay ticket fees which are collected by Trybooking, our online bookings provider. These will be displayed before you pay.
Phone: There are no additional fees.
In Person: There are no additional fees.
Rebooking & Refunds
For all rebooking and refund enquiries, please contact us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
In all cases, we will only rebook or refund if we can confirm that we are speaking to the person who originally booked the tickets.
We will not charge you for rebooking or refunding your tickets, however, if you booked your tickets online, you may not receive a refund for fees charged by Trybooking.
With More Than 24 Hours Notice
Rebooking: We will be happy to rebook your tickets for a different performance with seats available. Please be aware that you may be allocated different seats from the ones you originally had.
Refunds: We will refund your booking at face value of the tickets, provided that doing so does not leave a single empty seat.
With Fewer Than 24 Hours Notice
Rebooking: All rebookings will be at the discretion of the Box Office Manager. Please be aware that you may be allocated different seats from the ones you originally had.
Refunds: We're sorry but we will not be able to issue refunds.
Rescheduled or Cancelled Performances
Should we reschedule a performance, your tickets will automatically be moved to the new performance dates. If you are unable to attend, we will be happy to exchange your tickets for another performance with available seating or refund your tickets.
If we cancel a performance, we will refund your tickets.
In all cases of refunds, it may take up to a week for your money to be returned to you.
Selling On Your Tickets
You may sell on your tickets for no more than the face value of said tickets - doing so may void them.
Please be aware when purchasing "sold on" tickets, that the original buyer's name may be printed on them - in the event that we need to ask you for ID to verify the tickets you hold are yours, this may cause an issue and we may refuse you entry with those tickets and deny you a refund.
Recordings & Photography
Under no circumstances is the recording of any of our productions permitted by any means without the express consent of Bishop Auckland Theatre Society. This includes, but is not limited to, photography, videography, and audio recordings.
Be aware that if you are found to be recording a production that includes children or vulnerable adults, we may involve the relevant authorities including the police.
Latecomers & General Courtesy
Latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of our Box Office Manager. Please note, some performances have a strict ‘no latecomers’ policy and we are unable to refund ticket purchases if you miss the performance start time.
We, along with the staff of Bishop Auckland Town Hall, reserve the right to refuse entry to, or eject, any person that is causing a disturbance to the performance or to other patrons.
Your Personal Details
All details you enter when booking may be retained by us.
Your name and email address may be added to our mailing list, from which you can unsubscribe whenever you wish.
